I want to help spark purpose, ignite passion and infuse a desire for you to reach your dreams, pursue your desires and help you put your life into perspective. 

I live my life through several basic principles:

I am a certified professional life coach and public speaker.   I hold a Master’s degree in Health Communication from Boston University and a Bachelors of Science in Human Services with minors in Sociology and Psychology from Troy State University.  When people tell me, "Vecepia, you're always encouraging other and have a positive spirit that never fades," I say, "Thank you," then share my story.   So, I'll share my story with you.   I definitely have reason to smile.   I believe that  everyone has a story and mine is just another in the bucket of life.   All my successes, failures and experiences have made me who I am today and allows me to smile, stand tall and continue living with no regret and lots of purpose.

As a young adult, I left home at 22 and joined to US Air Force.   Stationed in Europe most of my military career, I played basketball, softball, volleyball and as a veteran, served in Operation Desert Storm.  Upon leaving Europe, I gave my life to Christ and have been following and living by God’s Word and serving Him.   Two of my favorite Bible verses are:  Habakkuk 2:2-3 “I will write my vision down on tablets and make it plain…” and Heb 11:6 “….but without faith, it’s impossible to please God…”

Living in California was my dream and I am living it. I am a fan of the Golden State Warriors, SF Giants and Oakland A’s as well as the Raiders.   However,  I am a loyal and true Dallas Cowboys fan. I enjoy reading and traveling (I’ve been to Australia, all over Europe, Africa, South America, the Caribbean and all over the US and Canada).

My life has had its share of challenges. I am a 2-time cancer survivor and divorced twice and have personally dealt with my own struggles with trying to understand “why" it all happened.   I learned that when I turn the mirror myself, I’m forced to "own" my circumstance.  The good news is that neither of these obstacles have kept me from believing in myself and in God and continuing to live each day as if it’s my last.  I am a member of Delta Sigma Theta Sorority, Inc. and have a wonderfully talented teen-age son who is the joy to my life.

In 2002, I was the $1 million winner of the hit reality show Survivor: Marquesas and have traveled all over to speak of my experience on the show, as a cancer survivor, as a veteran and as a Christian.   I love writing poetry (such great therapy) and I’m still working on my personal story about my life.  My son and I are collaborating on a series of children’s short stories.
